The history of the human race teaches us that people of all times, races, and cultures have sought after God

There is a desire planted deep within the human heart which yearns for something more and different than this world has to offer.

This ache is so persistent and basic that it has been compared to physical hunger. Just as hunger of the stomach demonstrates that the body was created to exist on food, so hunger of the human spirit demonstrates that humanity was created for life with God.

It is true, of course, that some people resist this hunger. They deny their need for spiritual sustenance much as those who fast from food. But an unbroken fast leads eventually to the body’s decay and ultimately to death. In the same way, the soul’s starvation leads to spiritual decay and finally to eternal emptiness – an unending separation from God.

Yet most human beings respond to their inner spiritual hunger, that is, they search for the food that will bring satisfaction. Here is some food for the soul if you have the yearning and honesty to be a spiritual seeker
